- This weekend, we’re going to our first UK Wedding. In typical parent style, we only secured a babysitter last night, and I’m still sourcing ideas for a UK appropriate wedding gift. What do people give to newlyweds on this side of this ocean? Any ideas are welcome!
- There has been a lot of news about the outcome of the Stanford Rape Trial. Even if you’re not into the news, you should read the victim’s letter, whether you’re a girl, a boy, and especially if you’re a mother or a father. I read Missoula by Jon Krakauer a while back and if you’re interested in learning more about how rampant rape is in College, and how little the Justice System protects women, read it. (Pretty much anything by Jon Krakauer is amazing)!
- Ah, screen times and toddlers. Let me just backtrack a bit and say that I read three books to Colin every night and that this is one of his favorite parts of bedtime. I let him choose his books, and he’s currently in a phase where he just wants me to read 1 or 2 books “again” and “again.” But for the last couple months, I haven’t been that disciplined in the morning and if I’m tired, I usually put on some Youtube videos and call it a day. I’m proud because for the last few days, I have managed to go without by preparing a Large Cup of Coffee and just letting the Living Room and the Kitchen go to pot until we need to to start getting ready for the day. Note: This does not mean that I will never again use screen time in the mornings 🙂
